Watercolour Workshop at Poynder Apartments

Tenants at our extra care development Poynder Apartments in Kelso were invited to attend a second of a series of eight workshops hosted by artist Ursula Bevan Hunter from Art in Healthcare.

The workshop was a continuation from her first one which had been an introduction to painting with watercolours – tracing shapes first and then painting; this second workshop was painting free hand using watercolour paints. The pictures painted were inspired by Spring – spring flowers, birds and animals.

Everyone who came along was ready to give it a go. It was a great opportunity to learn something new, take time out to be creative, as well as time for a chat and cup of coffee.

Art in Healthcare have lent 16 pieces from their extensive collection of modern and contemporary Scottish art currently on display in Poynder Apartments.
