The role of a Board Member

From time to time we will conduct recruitment campaigns to bring new Board Members into the organisation. Keep a look out for these adverts if you are interested or get in touch for an informal chat.

We hope the information below gives you a flavour of what the role entails.

Our Board Members are responsible for providing leadership to Eildon Housing Association by helping to develop and oversee our strategic vision.

The Board meets nine times a year, and Board Members also need to attend additional committee meetings, and a strategic planning day. Most meetings take place in the early evening.

If you are elected to the board, we provide you with full induction and on-going training. Board membership is a voluntary position, but you will be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses.

We’re keen to ensure that our Board is made up of people reflecting the diversity of our local communities, and we need a good mix of skills and experience.
