Eildon Housing Association was nominated in two categories at the Scottish Home Awards Ceremony sponsored by Ross & Liddell at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh last night.
The first award for Small Affordable Housing Development of the Year (social rent) was won by our latest development in Roxburgh and Union Street in Kelso, designed by Assist Design. Our Chairman Trevor Burrows and Director of Housing & Care Amanda Miller were delighted to receive the award on behalf of the Association.
This very attractive scheme which has been built to Silver Standards and Housing for Varying Needs Part 1, comprises of 18 apartments in a block of 6 at Union Street and 12 at Roxburgh Street. Thirteen of the flats are 2-bed and 5 provide 1-bed accommodation. The total cost of the scheme was £2,364,557 including a grant of £1,169,091 provided by the Scottish Government.
The second award was for ‘Housing Association of the Year’ and we received ‘Highly Commended’ in this category – which we are absolutely delighted with. The overall Award was won by Glasgow Housing Association and our congratulations go to them.
