- Fire in electrical consumer unit
- Lift breakdown
- Burst water pipes or tanks
- Gas leaks
- Broken windows
- Serious water penetration

If you smell Gas:
- Turn off the gas supply at the meter
- Open doors and windows to get rid of the gas
- Call Scottish Gas immediately on 0800 111 999
- Don't smoke
- Don't turn electric switches on or off
- Don't use a naked flame
If your electricity fails and it is not due to a tripped fuse or circuit breaker then it is probably a power cut. If this happens check with a neighbour and if this is the case telephone Scottish Power on 0845 2727 999
